The Town Bridge in Bedford is a historic bridge that crosses the River Great Ouse in the town centre. The bridge is a Grade II listed structure and is considered to be one of the most important landmarks in Bedford.
The Town Bridge was originally built in the 16th century and has undergone several renovations and modifications over the years. The current bridge was rebuilt in the 1810s and features a unique wrought iron balustrade. The bridge is notable for its decorative stone piers, which were added in the 19th century and feature carved lions' heads and other ornamental details.
