The Colonnade Mug

£1000

The Colonnade is a covered walkway that runs along the southern side of the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, England. It was designed by the architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff as part of the original building and was completed in 1935.

The Colonnade is a key feature of the De La Warr Pavilion's design, providing sheltered outdoor space for visitors to enjoy the sea views and fresh air. It is characterised by its curved form and the use of reinforced concrete, which was a new and innovative material at the time of its construction.
