The Circus Coaster
The Circus is a historic circular residential area located in the city of Bath, England. It was designed by architect John Wood the Elder in the 18th century and completed in 1768. The Circus consists of three curved segments of townhouses, with a central open space that includes a small park and a statue of King George III.
The houses in The Circus are built in the Georgian style, with elegant facades and impressive stonework. Many of them have been converted into apartments, offices, and shops, while others remain as private residences.
The Circus is considered one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the United Kingdom and has been designated as a Grade I listed building. It is located within walking distance of other famous Bath landmarks, such as the Royal Crescent and the Roman Baths.
