Ramsgate Tea Towel
Ramsgate Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located in the town of Ramsgate, Kent, in southeastern England. The lighthouse was built in 1827 to guide ships safely through the busy shipping lanes of the English Channel.
The lighthouse stands 53 feet tall and is constructed of brick and stone. It was originally equipped with a fixed white light, which could be seen up to 16 miles out to sea. The light was later converted to a revolving light, which flashes every 7.5 seconds and can still be seen today.
The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1921 and is now privately owned, but it remains a popular landmark and tourist attraction in Ramsgate. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse and enjoy stunning views of the town and the surrounding coastline.
