La Corbiere Tea Towel
La Corbière Lighthouse is a famous landmark located in the southwestern part of the island of Jersey, which is a British Crown Dependency. It is situated on a rocky islet known as La Corbière, which is connected to the mainland by a causeway that is accessible only at low tide.
The lighthouse was designed by Sir John Coode and built in 1874. It stands at a height of 19 meters (62 feet) and its light can be seen up to 18 nautical miles away. Originally, the lighthouse was operated by a team of lighthouse keepers who lived on site, but it was automated in 1976 and the keepers were no longer needed.
