Broadway Tower Tea Towel
Broadway Tower is a historic landmark located near the village of Broadway in Worcestershire, England. It is a folly, or ornamental tower, that was built in 1798 by the famous architect James Wyatt. The tower stands at a height of 20 meters and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Broadway Tower was built for Lady Coventry, who wanted to have a vantage point from which to enjoy the views of her estate. The tower was also used as a lookout post during the Napoleonic Wars, and later as a base for the Royal Observer Corps during World War II.
