The Angel of the North is a contemporary sculpture located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, in the northeast of England. The sculpture was created by the British artist Antony Gormley and was unveiled in 1998.

The Angel of the North stands 66 feet tall and has a wingspan of 177 feet, making it one of the largest sculptures in the world.
