Pieces for Places Exclusive Barmouth Commission

In May my boyfriend (Paul) and I went to Barmouth in Wales for our anniversary. We had a wonderful all be it rather windy time! Whilst there we stumbled across Pieces for Places. Being a moth to anything homeware or designer esk I fluttered in quickly racking up a long ‘to buy’ list from all their beautiful products.

I get really nervous approaching shop owners about wholesale or commissions but Paul gave me a reassuring nudge in the direction of Fred and I was greeted with a big friendly smile which put me right at ease!

After a lovely chat and look though my work Fred (1 brother of this 2 brother enterprise) seemed really keen but his brother Jack was the one I had to convince, so I left with Jack’s contact details and crossed my fingers!

After a few emails back and forth to my delight Jack ordered an exclusive print of Barmouth:

I set to work and captured the lovely view across the estuary incorporating the train bridge and quay. Jack was thrilled with it and promptly placed his stock order.

Print available from Pieces for Places only.

It was ace to work with you Jack and Fred. Thank you!

The commission page on my website has grown quite a lot recently! Take a look…

Escape to the Countryside & Explore our Coastlines

I am very excited that I am finally able to share these 2 new prints!

Back in November I was commissioned by Art Marketing who sell artwork to high street retailers to create two generic prints inspired by the old travel by rail posters.

explore our coastlines in presenterescape to the country in presenter

So… here they are! I hope you love them. I’m super pleased with them.

5 Reasons to Visit the Seven Sisters Country Park, Sussex this bank holiday weekend!

Having grown up in Sussex I have often visited the Seven Sisters from a young age. Here are my top 5 reasons to visit the Seven Sisters country park this bank holiday weekend:

  1. Free geography lesson! My siblings and I ALL visited the country park whilst at school to learn from its varied landscape; the meandering Cuckmere river and see what you can find on the shore in the shallow rock pools. Fun for the kids and educational!
  2. Push yourself physically and try the coastal path walk from Lewes to Eastbourne. I did this route when I was training to climb Kilimanjaro. A solid 26 miles, it’s a tough one. A full day with many hills! Tough work but the views are spectacular! IMG_5993
  3. Choose your mode of transport; you don’t just have to walk around the country park! There are options at the park entrance to hire bikes or canoes! This also includes an easy access flat path to the sea, suitable for buggies and wheel chairs! Everyone can enjoy this stunning place.
  4. There’s ALWAYS an ice cream van in the car park! After that lovely flat or hilly (you choose) walk treat yourself after to a cooling ice cream.
  5. With 280 hectares of land it’s a wildlife fanatics ideal spotting ground. Get those binoculars out and see what you can see!

For a lasting memory to so many happy times spent on these chalk cliffs I created this print for my parents.

Have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend!
