The Shipping Forecast was first broadcast in the 1920s its intended objective was to warn seafarers of impending storms and gales. Its solemn, rhythmic tones has inspired poems, songs, novels and artists. As familiar though the sea areas are by name, few of us give much thought to where they are. This contemporary print shows the shipping areas in a modern and graphic style; it’s bound to be a conversation starter.
Designed by myself this professional screen print is on 350gsm Silkweave natural paper by Colourplan; A3 (297 x 420mm).
